Christendom College Hosts Event to Help Students Discern Vocation

(2/26/10)  From February 19-21, Christendom College in Front Royal, Va., held its annual Discernment Weekend for students.  More than 20 members of religious orders were present on campus to answer questions, offer advice and share their experiences from religious life.  The weekend opened with Vespers led by Christendom Alumnus Fr. Tony Stephens.  An open panel discussion and various break-out sessions were held on topics ranging from “Discerning Your Vocation While Single” to “Life as a Nashville Dominican.”  Christendom alumni Tim and Katie Halisky also delivered a talk titled “Marriage as a Vocation” about the importance of chastity in relationships and being open to God’s will.  Christendom College is featured in The Newman Guide to Choosing a Catholic College, now a free online resource, for its strong Catholic identity.    Source: Christendom College
